Publisher information | The Plan Journal

The Plan Journal is the offspring of the international architecture and interior design magazine THE PLAN, founded in 2000 and published in three monolingual editions - Italian, English and Chinese - by Maggioli Editore (part of Maggioli Group).

Maggioli Editore curates over 30 specialized periodicals and more than 1,500 titles, including books and volumes but also databases, softwares and web services. It has become a point of reference for both Professionals and the Italian Public Administration market.

THE PLAN magazine, with subscribers in some 70 countries and distribution in newsstands, airports, railway stations, shopping malls, bookstores, in more than 41 countries, is one of the most widely distributed and read architecture magazines worldwide, with an important readership of professionals from the sectors of architecture, design, building and real estate as well as universities faculties.

Starting September 2020, THE PLAN magazine publishes two special issues per year with a focus in Interior Design and Contract devoted to a selection of projects ranging from HoReCa, residential, retail, nautical and tertiary sectors. These special issues are highly distributed as part of the circulation of THE PLAN magazine.

THE PLAN Editions, founded in 2003, offers all its experience in publishing, graphics, typography and distribution, proposing itself as the ideal partner to reason and develop together a tailor-made product characterized by high-level contents and, at the same time, a propulsive soul.

Based on the same principle but with a different approach, in 2018 THE PLAN started THE PLAN MEDIA HOUSE, a range of dynamic video contents including video-pills (reels) for social media campaigns, docu-films on either the practice or a single project and its main characters, and a web series with a number of thematic episodes.

Once the book is printed or the video is released, THE PLAN’s support and promotion come to life, offering a range of marketing & communication activities at multiple levels, involving its national and international distribution network, as well as engaging the international online & social media community that follows THE PLAN.

Launched in 2015, THE PLAN Award is an annual international prize that recognizes excellence in architecture, interior design, and urban planning. With twenty different categories and over a thousand submissions every year, THE PLAN Award is an important opportunity for architects, designers, urban planners, and planners to participate in an international community and contribute to the discussion of the key issues affecting the industry today, as well as to gain international visibility through a dedicated publication and an extensive digital promotion. The quality of this competition is underscored by its international jury, made up of leading figures in the architecture, design, real estate, and academic fields.
